Why We Fight is a feature documentary about a group of MMA fighters, all at different phases of their careers, each with a common goal.

This fantastic documentary shines a light on the people and personalities behind some fierce fighters of all ages.

The team behind the documentary approached us to craft a title frame for the main intro, and for each fighter. Our task, as we saw it, was to create a typographic design that hit as hard as the fighters featured in the film. With the chalk used in the ring, we crafted type layouts that looked to the past of fight visual language, with a splatter of chalk exploding from the letter forms.
